Nancy Adair Nolan Cooley
Former Leadville resident Nancy Adair Nolan Cooley, 65, died Nov. 16 in Denver. She was a retired elementary teacher.
She was born on Sept. 20, 1934 in Greeley.
She graduated from Leadville High School and received a Bachelor and Masters degree in education from the University of Northern Colorado. Her masters degree was in special education.
She taught for the Sheridan School District for over 15 years. She belonged to the Colorado Education Association.
On Feb. 13, 1954, she married Robert Cooley.
She enjoyed reading, current events and politics.
She is survived by her daughters Susan (Eric) Adair Cooley Nemitz, Denver; and Carol (Bruce) Johnson, Aurora; sons Robert "Randy" Randall (Michelle) Cooley, Fontana, Calif.; and Vincent (Cheryl) Cooley, Denver; and six grandchildren, Mathew Malinowski, Redlands, Calif; Christopher and Zachary Cooley, Denver; Kate, Sara and Amanda Cooley, Fontana, Calif.
Services were held on Nov. 20 in Denver. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson County Head Start, 900 Jefferson County Parkway #80, Golden, CO 80401.
