He seems to have been a man of culture, a poet and an artist. Foulques II died at Tours. His date of death, 11 November 958, is given by Christian Settipani in his work La Noblesse du Midi Carolingien. He was succeeded by his son Geoffrey Greymantle. Thus, Ermengard's descendants became the Counts of Anjou. Ermengarde married Aubri GeoffreyEngland. Aubri (son of Geoffrey and Living) was born about 1000; died about 1046.
