Notes |
- I have settled on "Rosina" as her given name because baptismal records of the New Jerusalem Church, York County, Pennsylvania show this spelling in 1785 when their first child, George was born. Note that "Rosannah" is used on her gravestone. The language of origin of 'Rosina' is Germanic and Latin but Rosannah is not a variant form of the name. Rosina has not been used as a girl's given name since 1934 in the U.S.
Gravestone Epitaph: "My friends, I bid you all adieu / I leave you in God's care / And since on earth we meet no more / Soon I'll meet you there"
