New Addition November 2nd 2026 hot off the presses. After nearly 50 years I have finally finished my biography of Noah Cooley and Jane Sutherland. It all started with a remark from my Grandma Lou Miller Cooley who told me in 1968 that “they lived 13 miles from Niagara Falls and never saw them”. This was passed down from the Andrew Sutherland Cooley family referring to his father’s presence in the Holland Land Purchase of Niagara County New York from 1815-1830

This website contains my Cooley-Miller-Sears-Barnhouse family tree (see illustration below to see how I named my tree). This site will also contain biographies of many of the people in my family tree and a series of essays of the Cooley line from Ensign Benjamin Cooley b. 1615 down to the present generation.
